Via Jiu-Jitsu is built for everyone. Kids, beginners, competitors, and everyone in between. Our instructors bring world-class experience and a genuine commitment to every student who walks through the door.
We believe jiu-jitsu builds more than physical skill. It builds character. Through consistent training, students develop discipline, confidence, and a resilience that shows up in every area of life, not just on the mat.
Every class is rooted in strong fundamentals, proper technique, and a safe training culture. We meet each student where they are and help them grow at their own pace.
This is more than a gym. It is a community. Come be part of it.

Professor Wanly is one of Oregon's most accomplished Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners — a competitive black belt directly mentored by Lucas Lepri, 10x BJJ World Champion, under the legendary Team Alliance. A published instructor, doctoral academic, former law enforcement officer, and community chaplain, he brings a rare depth of knowledge and character to the mat.
At Via Jiu-Jitsu, his mission is simple: use the art to help people become better versions of themselves.

Nate has over a decade of training and a black belt earned in November 2025. An IBJJF podium finisher at both the World Championship, the Pan Americans, and a 2nd place finish at the 2025 Masters Worlds, he has also racked up wins across local and regional tournaments up and down the West Coast.
Off the mat, Nate is a devoted dad and community leader — and that same heart for people shows up in every class he teaches. Fun, approachable, and genuinely invested in every student's growth.
